The Senate passed a bill to extend middle class tax cuts. All but two Republicans voted against it. Democrat Mark Pryor D-Arkansas voted against it as well. The reason for the resistance was because it did not include the top 2% of taxpayers. The bill must now pass the house. This is a first step toward tax equality.  The middle class won't see a change but at least indirectly they will pay a more favorable proportion of the income tax burden. Hopefully this will be a first of many steps needed to mend our great nation.
